Chapter 231 - 228: Aren’t You Also Making Yourself at Home?

’Clara found it amusing. She wasn’t trying to steal Chloe’s father, so why was she so tense?’

"Is there something you need? If not, I have to go." Not wanting to deal with them any longer, Clara Grant moved to shut the door.

But Cedric Grant stopped her. "Clara, we’re here to see Seth. Is he in?"

While figuring out the relationship between Clara Grant and Seth Quinn was important, the purpose of his visit was important too.

A while ago, Chloe had provoked Seth Quinn. In his anger, Seth had threatened to sue her for defamation and have Aegis blacklist her permanently.

When he asked Chloe what exactly she had done to anger Seth Quinn, Chloe said it was because she had inadvertently taken a picture of him with a woman. All she did was comment that the woman was his girlfriend, and now Seth was suing her for defamation and having her completely blacklisted?

Wasn’t that making a mountain out of a molehill?

No matter how powerful and influential the Quinn family was, they couldn’t just bully people like this!

Besides, he had once saved Theodore Quinn’s life, but this Seth Quinn showed him no deference whatsoever!

So, he had no choice but to beg Theodore Quinn every day. Fortunately, through Theodore’s intervention, the lawsuit Seth planned to file against Chloe was dropped. However, the blacklisting order was never lifted.

Chloe cried and complained to him every day, so he went to see Theodore Quinn every day. But even Theodore was powerless in this matter, because Seth had made it clear he would not back down any further.

Left with no other options, he took the initiative and personally requested a meeting with Seth Quinn. Perhaps out of respect for the fact that he had saved his father’s life, Seth actually agreed to his invitation.

But for some unknown reason, he was later notified that the meeting was canceled. He flew into a rage, accusing Seth Quinn of being arrogant, but there was nothing he could do.

He hadn’t been able to see him yesterday, so today he decided to come find him directly. It was the weekend, so Seth obviously wouldn’t be at the office. When Cedric called Theodore Quinn, he managed to pry out the information that Seth wasn’t at the Quinn Residence either. That’s why he had brought Chloe Grant here.

He had come here on a gamble. It was rumored that this place was once the love nest of Seth Quinn and the young lady of the Shelby Family. Although the two had long since parted ways and broken off their engagement, Seth still supposedly came here from time to time.

But he never expected to run into Clara Grant here.

Looking at the hand Cedric Grant used to block the door, Clara Grant frowned and replied impatiently, "He’s not here. Excuse me, I’m closing the door."

Before she could move, however, Chloe Grant shoved her hard. Caught off guard, Clara Grant stumbled back two steps, and the door swung wide open. Then, Chloe strode into the apartment.

’Since Seth Quinn isn’t here, what do I have to be afraid of from Clara Grant!’

Cedric Grant failed to hold her back. Seeing that she was already inside, he hesitated for a moment before following her in.

Clara Grant was furious. She darted forward to stand in front of Chloe Grant. "Chloe Grant, do you have any manners or common courtesy? This is someone else’s home! Barging in like this without a care in the world... aren’t you making yourself a little too much at home?"

"We’re here to see Seth Quinn. This is his home, not yours. Why are you so concerned? Aren’t you the one acting like you own the place?" Chloe Grant knew, of course, that Seth had taken a fancy to this woman and that he valued her. But at the end of the day, she wasn’t the lady of the house, was she?

’Seth Quinn’s interest in her is probably just a fleeting novelty. So of course I don’t need to hold back around her.’

Besides, the reason she was completely blacklisted by Aegis was all because of Clara Grant. How could she possibly swallow that insult?
