Chapter 146: Dark Arts
Chapter 146: Dark Arts
Ilya’s facial features were not as exquisite as Vivian or Xiya, but she was equally stunning.
Her expression was filled with an air of authority paired with innate pride, which made her face appear extremely, if not completely, rebellious. Even though she didn’t actually have her nose in the air, she naturally exuded a sense of all-encompassing arrogance.
After transforming, her deep red long hair cascaded casually over her shoulders. Her originally crimson eyes were even more blood-red and bright, giving off a chilling beauty.
Perhaps because the transformation was on a whim, after resizing herself at will, Ilya’s attire wasn’t exactly appropriate. She wore a top sewn from some unnamed beast’s hide, revealing half her arms and her navel below. Her lower body was clad in a black short skirt, showing half of her healthy thighs and all of her calves. Further down, she was even barefoot, lacking even a pair of proper shoes.
It’s just a pity that the Abyssal Demon’s skin is nowhere near fair, else she’d also possess a pair of unparalleled, beautiful jade feet.
How to describe the overall look? Ilya didn’t belong to the trendy category of slender beauties; she was quite the opposite, but one had to admit, she was the kind of top-notch stunner that took your breath away at first glance.
"Now, the difference is quite big, but no matter how big it is, it seems we don’t have reproductive isolation, do we?"
Lynn said, rising from his seat, but even standing straight with his back arched, he could only reach her thigh level. After all, an Abyssal Demon over three meters tall stood as tall as an entire floor of a typical building. Although Lynn wasn’t considered short among the Human Race, compared to Ilya, he indeed seemed like a baby.
"What the Demon Emperor says is true; the Demon Race and the Human Race can indeed produce offspring. However, the differences between tribes remain apparent, so I ask the Demon Emperor not to focus on these trivial details but to consider the current challenges carefully."
Ilya’s voice came from overhead. Communicating with Lynn at her height could only be in a downward glance, unable to face each other directly. However, for her, it felt wonderful, as if she’d gained a false sense of superiority over the Demon Emperor.
Lynn, on the other hand, felt regretful. Despite having such a great vantage point, he couldn’t see anything nice. That damned witch was wearing leggings!
Moreover, as she transformed, her body parts that were supposed to enlarge proportionally didn’t become exceptionally intimidating, leaving him unable to witness the awe-inspiring grandeur of looking up at her without seeing her face.
"Ahem, what kind of equipment can you guys put together for me? If you can come up with a set of Level 850 semi-divine gear, I can take on the entire Demon Realm."
Lynn cleared his throat twice, steering the conversation back on track. At present, he couldn’t use his best equipment and had to make do with a mix and match strategy. Even though disguising himself as a member of the Demon Race had deepened this restriction, it wasn’t too much of a concern. His strength wasn’t wholly dependent on his gear, and as long as the Seven Sisters of Demon Kings provided something better than beginner’s wooden swords and cloth shirts, he had the confidence to dominate in the Demon Realm.
If they had any foundation and could assemble a peak-level semi-divine equipment set for him, he could walk across the Demon Realm without fearing any obstacles.
"The Demon Emperor is underestimating your partners. We Seven Sisters have put together fourteen pieces of equipment, all Level 900 semi-divine level demon armor. It might be far from your Holy Emperor’s Divine Artifact sword armor and complete divine gear outfit, but after the late emperor and seven past kings took all the treasures with them, this is the most top-notch demon armor the Demon Realm has today."
Ilya wasn’t aware of Lynn’s current situation; she merely felt that a Level 900 semi-divine gear set somewhat disrespected the hero capable of slaying the Demon Dragon Emperor. But the reluctance to provide better wasn’t due to stinginess; it was because the better ones were either intercepted by the late emperor or destroyed in the war between gods and demons. After searching through the treasuries and hidden reserves of the Seven Kingdoms, this was all they had.
"That’s enough. You shouldn’t underestimate my inherent attributes. Do you believe that even if I strip naked, I could still pin down you Seven Sisters."
When Lynn said this, he wasn’t boasting. The title of a Level 999 Near God wasn’t given in jest. Whoever received such a title didn’t rely solely on some sharp gear. His inherent attributes were quite formidable; suffice to say, fighting seven Level 800 demons with bare hands wasn’t an issue.
"Then I’m reassured. Please sit down; I still need to apply makeup on you."
Hearing Lynn’s words, Ilya remained mostly unfazed. In her imagination, if someone like Lynn did strip naked and pinned them down, it would definitely not end with just a pummeling.
As for what exactly would happen, there was no need to think further because she would never let it happen!
They invited Lynn to act as the Demon Emperor to clear obstacles for them, not to hold a martial competition for choosing a son-in-law. If he had any thoughts akin to the late emperor, he was sorely mistaken, as the Seven Sisters would rather die than comply.
"Then you better do a good job. At the very least, make it look like I’ve swapped heads, or I’m afraid some demons might recognize me."
Lynn continued explaining to Ilya the key issues of him being recognized by magical beasts. Not only did the aura need changing, but appearance needed attention too. After all, there were already several examples in the Miracle World.
He couldn’t guarantee that no magical beasts had escaped from the battle of gods and demons to the Demon Realm, so he needed to be well-prepared. Whether Ilya’s makeup skills matched the infamous makeup techniques of Hua Country, known as one of the four great new Eastern Asian sorceries, was yet to be seen.
"Heh, don’t worry. If after the makeup even your partner or yourself can recognize you, I’ll give Betty to you!"
Ilya had great confidence in her makeup skills; there couldn’t possibly be a demon in the Demon Realm better at it than her. Even the Phantom Lust Demon King was far from her level.
It was unfortunate she was naturally beautiful, so this extraordinary skill wasn’t needed much. A simple light makeup made her stunning enough. Only when doing extreme makeovers could her strength in this area be fully utilized.
Afterwards, Ilya resized herself down to human form again to conveniently apply makeup on Lynn.
Indeed, Ilya wasn’t exaggerating. As she took out various cosmetics that Lynn could or couldn’t name and applied them on his face, Lynn’s image gradually changed in the mirror.
Earlier, he was a handsome and gentle young man. After changing his aura and demeanor with the Demon Artifact Jade Pendant, he became a sinister handsome guy. But after Ilya’s skillful handiwork, the figure in the mirror was no longer recognizable as Lynn.
What he received wasn’t just a demonized makeover; it was as if he’d undergone a complete surgical transformation, changing his entire face and even his race.
Look at that stern and authoritative, chiseled square face, with malevolent red curls, blood-red, killing-intent-filled eyes, a prominently protruding broad nose, and a fierce eagle-like mouth. Lynn couldn’t believe the demonic figure in the mirror was actually him.
