Chapter 512: Going to rescue Zara
Chapter 512: Going to rescue Zara
Ethan appeared in front of her without any visible disturbance in space, as if he had always been there and she had only just noticed him.
Rose was startled. Her senses had sharpened considerably after everything she had gone through, yet she had not felt even the slightest fluctuation before his arrival. That absence of presence unsettled her more than any overwhelming aura could have.
"May I know who you are?" Rose asked cautiously, her voice controlled, though her eyes remained fixed on him with guarded alertness.
"Ethan Hunt."
The moment the name reached her ears, something within her stirred. It was not a memory she could consciously grasp, nor a recognition she could logically explain. Instead, it was a subtle tremor deep inside her chest, followed by a surge of emotion so intense that it momentarily disrupted her composure.
She did not understand it. She did not recognize the man standing before her, yet her heart reacted as though it had been waiting for him.
Ethan did not waste time explaining.
He stepped closer and gently placed his hand on her head. The gesture was neither forceful nor hesitant. It was natural, as though it had been repeated countless times before. In an instant, a flood of memories surged into her mind.
Rose saw everything.
She saw the Dragon World. She saw the moment Ethan had first approached her, calm and confident, speaking of marriage with a seriousness that had initially stunned her. She saw the battles he had fought, the way he had protected her and her family without hesitation, the quiet certainty in his actions, and the unspoken weight behind his decisions.
Each memory unfolded with clarity, stitching together fragments of a life she had unknowingly lost.
Time seemed to stretch as she absorbed it all. Her breathing became uneven for a moment, and her expression shifted through confusion, shock, and finally understanding.
After a while, her unstable emotions settled. The turbulence within her calmed, replaced by a steady warmth that felt both familiar and grounding.
"Thank you, Ethan," she said softly, her voice carrying sincerity rather than confusion now.
Ethan looked at her, his expression calm but not entirely at ease.
"Rose, this is not all the truth," he said. "There is something more. But I will have to kill someone if I want to tell you everything. Right now, we are in the Divine Realm, and the enemies are already coming. Others are here as well. Come with me. We need to find them."
Rose hesitated for a brief moment and turned her head to look behind her.
Her family stood there. Even though this world was a reincarnation construct, even though she knew it was not her original reality, the bonds she had formed here were real to her. The emotions were not illusions, and neither was the attachment.
Ethan followed her gaze and understood immediately.
"Do not worry," he said in a softer tone than before. "Nothing will happen to them."
Rose looked back at him. There was a faint smile on his face, one that carried quiet confidence rather than arrogance. The sight of it caused her cheeks to warm unexpectedly.
This was the smile that had once captured her heart.
There was something about his presence that felt undeniably reassuring. It was not overwhelming, nor was it forceful. It simply existed in a way that made everything around him seem stable.
"Alright," Rose nodded gently.
Ethan reached out and took her hand. Her fingers felt soft, almost boneless in his grasp, and he held them with a natural familiarity. Without any visible movement, the space around them shifted, and they vanished.
They reappeared moments later on a roadside within another part of the God Realm.
In front of them sat three individuals.
Rose blinked in disbelief, and then a faint laugh escaped her lips.
"Is that father? Uncle and aunty?" she whispered, barely holding back her amusement.
Ethan raised his hand and lightly covered her mouth.
"Let us observe first," he said quietly, though there was a hint of amusement in his own eyes.
Rose nodded, her shoulders trembling slightly as she suppressed her laughter.
The three individuals sitting by the roadside looked nothing like dignified figures. They had set up what appeared to be a makeshift fortune telling arrangement, presenting themselves as divine seers capable of predicting fate.
In truth, they were swindlers.
They had been deceiving people in the God Realm by claiming they could divine the future, exploiting belief and fear for their own gain.
Ethan and Rose remained hidden for a moment longer while watching them swindled some more people.
Then Ethan’s gaze shifted upward.
His expression changed.
The attackers had already arrived.
They had searched throughout the Divine Realm but found no trace of Ethan or his companions. However, the three individuals in front of them matched a certain description, which was enough to draw attention.
Ethan had already sent the rest of the family members inside his inner world. Now only Rose and the three unsuspecting swindlers remained with him.
Now, he could protect them.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Three figures descended onto the road with force, their presence carrying immense pressure.
Ethan examined them briefly. They were all at the Supreme Archetype Realm, one level below Proto Deities and two levels below True Gods.
To most beings, they would be untouchable.
To Ethan, they were insignificant.
Rose’s father and Ethan’s parents, who existed here in this constructed reality, turned pale as they sensed the killing intent emanating from the newcomers. They understood immediately that escape was not an option.
"Hey," one of the attackers said coldly. "Divine our fate. If you make any mistakes, you will be gone."
"Well, we do not divine at this hour," Robert replied, maintaining composure despite the tension. "Please come tomorrow, sirs."
"Huh? Are you refusing to serve?" the attacker’s voice sharpened. "Do you know who we are?"
Before the situation could escalate further, a calm voice interrupted.
"Why do I not divine your futures instead?"
All three attackers turned sharply.
They looked at Ethan but did not recognize him.
"Who are you? Did we ask you?" one of them roared.
Ethan’s expression remained unchanged.
"I can see that death is dancing above your heads," he said calmly. "Any unstable statement might cause your death."
"Die!"
The man roared again, but before he could even take a step forward, Ethan moved.
His hand touched the man’s head lightly.
In the next instant, the attacker exploded into a mist of blood.
There was no resistance. No struggle. No trace left behind.
A Supreme Archetype Realm being had been erased as effortlessly as crushing an insect.
The remaining two froze.
For the first time in their existence, fear gripped them completely.
In the Divine Realm, they had always stood at the top. Everything else had been insignificant.
Now, they understood.
They were the insignificant ones.
"Are you Ethan?" one of them asked, his voice no longer steady.
"Correct," Ethan replied. "And for guessing correctly, your reward is death."
His smile did not change, but there was something colder beneath it.
The two attempted to run, but their bodies burst into blood mist before they could move even an inch.
Silence followed.
Ethan turned to look at the three swindlers.
They stared at him as though they were witnessing something beyond comprehension.
"What?" Ethan said lightly. "Have you swindled enough people?"
He snapped his fingers.
Instantly, their lost memories returned.
Understanding struck them like a physical blow. Their expressions shifted rapidly as realization settled in.
Ethan was not just someone powerful.
He was the man who was supposed to marry their daughter.
And he had just witnessed them running a fraudulent business.
They wished they could disappear.
Rose stepped forward at that moment.
"Hahahaha," she laughed freely. "Father, uncle, aunty, you are truly something else."
Her laughter only deepened their embarrassment.
"Girl, stop or I will pinch your cheek," her father said stiffly, attempting to regain authority.
Rose controlled herself and stood properly again.
"What is going on?" they asked, still overwhelmed.
"You will know soon," Ethan replied calmly. "But this is not the time."
Without further explanation, he sent the three of them into his inner world.
The tension in the air dissipated.
Ethan then turned toward Rose and extended his hand with a slight bow, like a noble prince inviting his partner.
"My lady, shall we tour around the Divine Realm?"
Rose placed her hand in his, her cheeks slightly flushed.
"Yes."
As they stood together, Ethan’s gaze shifted into the distance.
The softness in his expression disappeared.
His eyes turned cold.
"Just wait," he muttered under his breath. "I am coming."
His target was clear.
The god who had created the Fate Race.
The one who had captured Zara.
This was not going to end quietly.
