Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons

Chapter 323: We Meet Once Again.

Chapter 323: We Meet Once Again.

What!

Thoren stood frozen for a brief moment, unable to believe his eyes. His eyes widened drastically while disbelief flooded his face.

’How is this possible?’ He screamed inwardly.

He had watched her get sliced into pieces. He had watched her suffer countless horrifying tortures before she finally died.

More importantly, her corpse had been devoured completely by the Bleeding Desert.

So how could she possibly appear here?

Even though disbelief filled his mind, Thoren reacted swiftly. Without hesitation, he leapt out through the window.

Bang!

His body crashed heavily onto the ground, leaving deep footprints in the stone street below. Nearby humans and Mantis Beastmen turned toward him with startled expressions.

However, Thoren was far too focused to care about their reactions. He immediately charged after her.

Sensing Thoren behind her, the new Cressida increased her pace without turning around.

"Out of my way!"

"Dammit! Move aside!"

Thoren roared furiously while shoving aside anyone too slow to react.

Many cursed angrily while others attempted to stop him and demand an explanation, but he was already gone before they could even move properly.

Like a predator chasing prey, Thoren pursued the woman while the figure resembling Cressida continued moving ahead calmly.

Her pace remained strangely unhurried.

Looking toward the distant town gate, Thoren’s heartbeat pounded violently against his chest.

He increased his speed further, yet no matter how hard he tried, the distance between them never shortened.

Instead, it slowly widened.

’Should I summon them?’ he wondered briefly before shaking his head.

This was the inner region. He needed to remain cautious and keep a low profile whenever possible.

More importantly, compared to the true monsters hidden within the Crimson Dunes, he was still too weak.

And the sudden appearance of Cressida only proved how dangerous his current situation truly was.

Bursting through the town gate, he spotted Cressida far ahead within the desert.

He did not hesitate.

He continued chasing relentlessly.

Thoren remained confident in his ability to track her aura.

After pursuing her for another hundred meters, he prepared to summon his mount. However, his body suddenly halted abruptly.

His eyes widened sharply.

Standing atop a crimson dune, Cressida stared down at him with a bright smile.

"We meet once again..."

Her voice sounded sweet and gentle, yet every hair on Thoren’s body stood upright instantly.

An overwhelming sense of danger gripped his heart tightly.

"Did you truly think it would be so easy to get rid of me?" she asked before bursting into laughter.

"Hahaha!"

Her laughter echoed eerily throughout the silent desert.

The surrounding atmosphere grew heavier instantly.

Everywhere became deathly silent.

Even the desert wind itself seemed to retreat from her presence.

"Thoren Starfall..."

Her smile slowly vanished while her voice turned terrifyingly cold.

"You belong to me."

The words pierced deeply into his mind like icy needles.

"I shall have you whether you like it or not. No one escapes from me."

Thoren narrowed his eyes coldly.

For the first time in a long while, genuine killing intent flickered within them.

"For this precious reunion, I prepared a welcoming gift for you."

Cressida laughed once more.

Before Thoren could react, the crimson sand beneath her suddenly swallowed her body completely.

She vanished instantly.

"T This..."

Thoren stood motionless while confusion and alarm surged through his mind.

Every instinct within him screamed desperately.

Something terrifying was unfolding behind the scenes.

And if he failed to uncover the truth behind this mysterious Cressida, he would never know peace again.

He stared silently at the location where she disappeared.

Slowly, his expression returned to calmness.

Previously, he never truly considered her threats seriously.

However, after witnessing this impossible scene personally, he realized he had underestimated the danger surrounding her existence.

This matter had become extremely serious.

And he needed to solve it quickly.

Still, if whoever stood behind Cressida believed such childish intimidation could frighten him, then they were gravely mistaken.

Thoren’s confidence never wavered.

Ever since stepping onto this path, he had never believed there existed a problem he could not solve.

If words failed, then his undead legion would forcefully make the enemy understand reason.

That belief remained absolute.

Since becoming a Necromancer, he had never encountered an enemy his undead servants failed to crush eventually.

This situation would not become an exception.

Just as he prepared to return toward the town, a massive cloud of crimson sand erupted in the distance.

Hmm?

Thoren knitted his brows deeply.

Slowly, his expression darkened further.

’What is going on now?’

Even though he could not determine the source immediately, his instincts screamed danger frantically.

Shriek!

A soul piercing shriek erupted from the distant sandstorm.

And then he saw them.

Countless monstrous figures surged through the crimson dunes violently. Thousands of Bone Crushing Wyrms charged directly toward him.

The ground trembled continuously beneath their numbers.

"Dammit!" Thoren cursed loudly. "Did they not say these things were slow?"

At that moment, he genuinely wanted to strangle Orric for his useless information.

However, before he could even process the situation properly, his expression changed again.

Behind the Bone Crushing Wyrms came another horrifying wave.

Scorpions.

Countless scorpions.

Lesser Dune Scorpions crawled across the sands like a living tide while towering Greater Dune Scorpions followed behind them menacingly.

Their numbers stretched endlessly beyond sight.

The sight alone was enough to make ordinary awakeners collapse from fear.

"T This is bad..."

For a brief moment, even Thoren felt genuine danger creeping into his heart.

Only a fool would believe this beast tide specifically targeted him alone.

Without hesitation, he summoned the undead Dust Naga Mini Boss instantly.

Whoosh!

The massive undead creature erupted beside him violently. Its enormous body radiated terrifying pressure throughout the surrounding dunes.

Thoren mounted it immediately.

"Move!" he commanded sharply.

The undead Dust Naga surged across the desert at terrifying speed, leaving massive waves of crimson sand behind it.

The beast tide roared furiously in pursuit.

Shrieks and monstrous cries echoed endlessly behind him while the desert itself trembled violently beneath the advancing hordes.

Thoren’s expression remained solemn throughout the escape. Although the undead Dust Naga moved quickly, he understood one terrifying fact clearly. If such a tide reached the Mantis Town unprepared, countless people would die.

The peaceful atmosphere within the settlement would vanish instantly beneath blood and screams.

Soon, the distant outline of the town appeared once again.

Without slowing down, Thoren returned the undead Dust Naga into his undead space several meters away from the entrance.

Immediately afterward, he dashed toward the town at full speed.

His heartbeat thundered violently against his chest while tension filled every nerve within his body.

Something massive was about to happen and deep within his instincts, Thoren felt certain of one thing.

This was only the beginning.
